The Kapre Sports Lair
The Kapre Sports Lair
Hidden beneath the ancient Balete Tree, where the Kapre himself keeps watch with cigar smoke drifting through the night air, sits the Kapre Sports Lair — Panglao’s home for cold beer, frozen margaritas, loud celebrations, and live sport from around the world. This is not some silent sports lounge where everyone politely claps at halftime. This is game night done properly. Big screens glowing, music pumping, plates of sizzling BBQ landing on tables, and crowds roaring as football, basketball, UFC, rugby, and late-night fights roll deep into the island evening. It’s part mythical hideout, part tropical sports bar, and fully built for good times.
The Kapre Sports Lair brings together everything that makes island nights memorable: ice-cold drinks, smoky grilled meats, giant sharing platters, cheeky bar snacks, and an atmosphere where tourists, locals, divers, expats, and travelling sports fans all end up becoming mates by the second round. One minute you’re watching the Premier League with a frozen margarita in hand, the next you’re somehow ordering Korean wings, Filipino sisig, or giant skewers while someone in the corner starts celebrating like they’ve personally won the match. Loud, fun, slightly chaotic in the best possible way — exactly how the Kapre likes it.
Picture of The Kapre Sports Lair is a GenAI representation for now – construction is under way.
Have you tried Filipino Pulutan?
At the Kapre Sports Lair, the drinks are only half the story — the real magic starts when the pulutan hits the table. Crispy, smoky, spicy, salty little plates designed exactly for cold beer, frozen margaritas, and shouting at live sport on the big screens. From juicy BBQ skewers to corned beef hash, deep-fried spam ‘fingers’, grilled bacon and lychee, and other dangerously addictive street-food bites, the whole idea is simple: order a few plates for the table… then immediately order more because somebody always eats the last piece. It’s loud, messy, social eating the Filipino way — the kind where conversations get bigger, laughter gets louder, and nobody’s checking the time anymore.
We’ll be serving up streefood and frozen booze delights from the Kapre Jeepney Margarita and FoodTruck:
- Kapre’s Pockets: Toasted brioche bread stuffed with Corned Beef Hash – topped with pickles.
- Kapre’s Fingers: Spicy and Crunchy Spam with Filipino Spicy Vinegar Reduction.
- Lychee Bacon Poppers: Lychees wrapped in smoky bacon and chargrilled on skewers.
- Chicken Pesto Skewers: Chargrilled fresh green pesto chicken skewers.
- Beef and Prawn Skewers: Chef’s special Filipino marinade on these charred beauties.
- Ice cold Pilsens, and Frozen Margarita Slushies.
